{"id":2232,"date":"2024-11-04T15:22:57","date_gmt":"2024-11-04T20:22:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cdc-pont-viau.swlauriersb.vortexdev.com\/2024\/11\/04\/internation-student-program-2024-2025\/"},"modified":"2024-11-04T15:29:13","modified_gmt":"2024-11-04T20:29:13","slug":"internation-student-program-2024-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cdc-pont-viau.swlauriersb.vortexdev.com\/fr\/2024\/11\/04\/internation-student-program-2024-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Internation Student Program 2024 &#8211; 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM VOCATIONAL TRAINING FEES \u2013 2024-2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Welcome to the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board\u2019s International Student Program.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To facilitate your application process, please take note of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If a complete application is submitted through My True North and the initial payment of $1,200 done through<br>Flywire is received, we will begin to ealuate the application and will share an update through My True North within 5-7<br>business days. In order to make the initial payment through Flywire, please use the gateway provided by My True North<br>and the Client # also provided while submitting the application, you may leave the invoice # field blank. Incomplete<br>applications may cause delays in processing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon confirmation of eligibility, we will send a detailed Invoice and an official Letter of Acceptance. With this letter,<br>the student can apply for a CAQ, Study Permit, and COOP Work Permit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start\/end dates for vocational programs are tentative and could vary. The school board reserves the right to cancel or<br>delay the start date of a program if there is a lack of space or insufficient registrations to start a cohort.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When applying for a CAQ, make sure to select SWLSB \u201cVocational training Program \/ Dipl\u00f4me d\u2019\u00e9tudes professionnelles\u201d<br>under the Program or level of studies \/ Programme ou niveau d\u2019\u00e9tudes field.<br><em>Note: If you already have a CAQ with a different level of studies, you will need to apply for a new CAQ for the<br>correct level of education.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When applying for a Study Permit, make sure to indicate, \u201cDesignated learning institution in the province of<br>Quebec\u201d under the Institution Name \/ Nom de l\u2019institution field. Please be sure to also apply for a CO-OP Work Permit<br>at the same time. You may use the sale Letter of Acceptance as proof for the CO-OP hours within your program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is strongly recommended to submit applications at least 4-6 months prior to the start date of the program and to<br>arrive in Canada at least 2-3 weeks prior to the beginning of the program in order to finalize the registration process<br>in a timely manner. Students must share a copy of their immigration permits with our office as soon as these are<br>approved so we can update their files accordingly. Students must not purchase flights until they receive our<br>final confirmation email. Students must attend their final registration appointment in person with all their original<br>documents and have already paid for their first installment in full in order to finalize registration. Students will not be able<br>to start without their original documents and permits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students are strongly encouraged to take a French as a Second Language course outside of their classes. For more<br>details on FREE French courses click here. These classes will help students learn and improve their French skills when<br>they start their internships as well as during\/after their studies in Quebec.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health insurance is a legal requirement for any international student studying in the province of Quebec. We can provide<br>this service to students through our designated insurance provider (INGLE international).
